Influence of variations in relative humidity

Polymer materials absorb humidity from the surrounding atmosphere (however only if the polymer is more “dry” than the atmosphere). The polymer material will at a certain time reach an “equilibrium”, where the humidity content in the polymer is stable.

The higher relative humidity – the more water will be absorbed by the polymer, and the more expansion will happen to the screen. This is illustrated in the graph below:
