Poland: This installation at a Polish railway station shows how large screens can be used as a flexible and dynamic alternative to traditional billboards.
The large screens are part of a network which includes 10 advertising displays on railway stations in 8 Polish cities. The displays are especially designed to show advertising and travel information, which is broadcast in real-time from the city of Poznan to all stations via an optical high-speed computer network.
Previously the client used front projection, but the image quality was so poor that it was not acceptable to advertisers.
The screens in the advertising network, which includes 5 metres high tower-structures, are placed strategically in railway station halls and on walking passages.
